Who I am beyond my job and achievements?
Out of the 24 hours in a day, we spend 8–9 hours working. That means a significant portion of our lives is devoted to work. When I step back and look at the bigger picture, I realize I've spent almost half my life working and chasing money. Even when I aim to be "productive," it's also tied to career growth —taking courses, learning new skills, diving into advanced technologies—because I want to keep up with this race we are all running.
But is that what life is all about?
Working, earning, learning.. then finding a better job—working, earning, learning—an endless loop.
I often wonder: What is the true purpose of life? Of course, it’s not just about a career. Life is much more than that. A career is only a part of life, yet we dedicate so many years to building it. Isn't it true? We start preparing from kindergarten, and the pursuit continues until we choose to retire. So much of my time and energy has gone into that journey. But deep down, I know—"life is not just about a career".
We chase after it because it satisfies our physiological and safety needs—food, shelter, and security. It forms the base of our existence. But life doesn’t end there. We are meant for more.
We learn. We travel. We grow. We connect. We heal.
Sometimes, we become the healers.
Eventually, we all become storytellers to someone (singing ...the story of my life)
Bonus point: The audience to your story is larger when you achieve in your life. People see you as an inspiration—someone to look up to. Congratulations! That time you know you won in your life. But sometimes, that audience doesn't realize every story is different; every life experience is different.
Take inspiration; take the lesson, but don't try to follow the pattern! Because we ought to create our own stories.Make it unique.
Back to the topic: One day, sitting in our 60s, we might look back and think, I ran so much. But what was I running for? The answer is to meet my basic physiological and safety needs. In doing so, we often leave behind our comfort, sacrifice our happiness, hurt and envy others, or sometimes try to pull others down in the race. I don't say it is unnecessary, people; it is the most important one because we make our dependents happy through that. So, chase, grow, and learn.
And you know what? That’s okay—because we are the decision-makers in our lives.
But every time we strive so hard to meet these needs, let’s not forget—it’s only a part of life. Just because it plays a big role doesn’t mean it’s the hero of our story.
Everything in life is essential—growth, love, learning, happiness, healing, traveling, and seeking.

"Reminder, my beloved readers:
Life is not meant to be measured by how high we climbed in our careers,
But by how deeply we loved, how we lived, and how honestly we connected with others and ourselves.
In the end, it won’t be the titles or promotions we remember. All we remember is the kindness we showed, the lessons someone taught us, the heartfelt conversations with our loved ones, and the laughter we shared with our family and friends. Every moment is a beautiful story we are writing, so write it uniquely."
.
"Embrace it all before it’s too late".
Because life is more than my job and my achievements!
